CALLING :
Radar.
NICKNAMES :
None.
AGE :
3-4 Years.
SPECIES :
Gray Wolf – Lightning Element.
SEX :
Male.
MY EYES :
White.
MY COLORS :
Rusted brown, gray, black and cream.
MY DIMENSIONS :
4’2 – 100 pounds.
MAKE A JUDGEMENT :
Essentially a long skinny runt. His coat is composed of three to four colors depending on who you ask. But essentially he's a lanky male. Not brutally threatening looking what so ever. Yet his fur is coarse and thick as well as wire-like to the touch. His neck has a long black collar like marking wrapping around him which coils down his legs and tail, almost like rings. His under fur is a mix of white and cream, though he only claims it to be cream not white. His top coat is a mixture of black tips and dark rusted brown, almost reddish in some areas it is also a luscious chocolate brown in others. His most distinctive markings aside from the collar like marking about his neck is his eye markings. He has an almost reverse raccoon like mask about his eyes that stretch into long lines down his face. His fur may appear fluffy yet it is anything but soft and cuddly. He's certainly no teddy bear it's quite obvious that although he is small in size, he can still pack a deadly punch. It is almost as if his body has been charred in some places in fact.
I AM WHO I AM :
A very even tempered and calm male. He is not one to be corrupted by power or love alike. He is a very logical male, his only downfall seems to be from his lack of controlling his anger when a situation calls for it. His powers grow unstable and thus he has a supreme dislike for the type of wolf that he is. His disposition is calm and laid back, yet still authoritative and hard edged when he needs to be. He's quite the hard ass, not one to show affection or compliments he often is by himself. Not very good company to chat with he can get quite grumpy. Yet he means well, and he is exceptionally loyal to his goddess. Pledging everything in his being to protect the lands given to him. He is to fulfill his destiny whatever that might be. He seems to have more layers beneath his surface than he wishes to lead on, yet all in all he seems troubled. Perhaps inwardly suffering without outwardly expressing his pain. He is willing to get down and dirty especially in a time of war. Not only that but he seems to be very independent often fetching food for himself rather than relying on his pack to do the hunting for him. He's a supremely patient male yet he will not be afraid to show his authority when needed. Yet he does not flaunt it, he knows of the responsibility it holds.

- War.
- Logic.
- Justice.
- Understanding.

IN MY PAST :
“Captain I take it you understand your responsibilities do you not?” The elderly alpha looked at the young and strapping white captain as he spoke with great fear and hesitation in his voice. “It is not protocol to allow none alpha pairs to birth pups. Yet if you feel your line is strong enough to withstand the process, I can grant you an exception.”
It was rather clear that the older wolf, growing in age and slowing down in life seemed to be more than willing to allow new generations to grow. Yet at what cost? It seemed only the strongest of the pack was allowed to mate, meaning strictly alphas and betas on occasion. Yet the Captain had proved his bravery and courage in the fields of battle. It was his legion of soldiers that lead the pack to victory against an out matched force. Without his cunning they would have surely been lost. He knew it was a privilege, yet he too felt uneasy as the alpha spoke to him. A dear friend and comrade the two shared quite a history together. The Captain had no past he wanted to share prior to joining the pack. He was as mysterious as the brutal scars across his face. He spoke very little, yet his strength on the battlefield was unmatched. “I understand. I will make sure that Julia and I are exceptionally careful my lord.” The captain gave a jerk of a nod to his alpha before dismissing himself.
“Good luck Captain, and remember. If your pups are not to survive, the responsibility of caring for your mate or your pups is no longer yours. Be brave my friend.” The alpha male dismissed the Captain with a gentle nod, returning to his post with a mate of his own. She was substantially younger than he, yet everyone suspected the alpha was to die soon anyway, though no one spoke a word of such treason.
No one was certain if the captain even loved his mate Julia, a beautiful cream and brown wolf with markings that could hypnotize even the most aggressive male. Many believed that it was the main reason why the captain picked her for a mate above everyone else. Yet no one directly asked him his intentions, and if there was any wolves that dared attempt to court her, she was the one to shoo them away; not him. She was strong and independent; perhaps that was why he chose her. Whatever the reason might be he had chosen her. They both seemed to be rather docile and shy around others, even in the presence of each other there was a sense of unease around them. He took her to the river a night where she was in heat and preformed the ancient ritual. Mounting and releasing inside of her. She was confident that their litter would be strong and survive the harsh climate, that she too would survive the birthing and be able to raise pups.
Around the same time the old alpha male brought his young mate to do the ritual one final time. The female was large, being very well fed and plump ready to have pups. Julia however was thin and many considered her lithe. She was not concerned however; she arrogantly felt that she was strong enough to take on the responsibilities. The months past, and the captain didn’t seem to be worried outwardly, he never seemed to show outward affection at all. Yet in his heart he knew how much he loved her, everything she did. When she was finally ready to give birth he found a secluded den and furbished it with as much grass and wheat as he could find. He waited outside seated with his back arched quietly waiting for the news. Hours passed like days, yet still he waited holding on every breath he took, he could practically feel her pain as she screamed in agony. Her body was not strong enough to produce a litter it seemed.
Yet luck was on his side, when he was finally cleared to enter the den he found his mate laying there, the bodies of five still born pups laid motionless and cold. Their bodies scoured as if tossed aside forcefully. “They didn’t make it…” Julia informed the captain with a soft coo of a voice. Her eyes were red and bloodshot obviously mourning her loss. Yet there came a squeak, a faint gentle cry and the captain noticed a runt crawling to his mother’s warmth.
His eyes bore into the small black blind creature. He seemed disappointed, a sigh escaping his muzzle. At least there was one. At least there was one. His lips formed a timid smile, as if afraid to even show anything on his face except for lack of emotion. His head rested against Julia’s neck as he whispered soft lulls to her. Telling her that it would all be alright, they still had one pup to raise and they would do it beautifully.
However life seemed to barely only start it’s hardships on the small runt. For not even a few days before being born, his mother passed. Due to the heartbreak of losing her first litter, she no longer had a will to live and quietly passed in her sleep. The captain wasted no time in retrieving the small pup from his mother never to look back in the den that now was the resting place of his pups and mate taking him to the alpha at once.
“So you’ve one?” The alpha male was gentle and approving in his question, glad to see that even the smallest of the litter happened to be the strongest.
“Please my friend, I request that your mate nurse my son…Julia passed last night, in her sleep.” The captain wasted no time in requesting a favor from his alpha. The alpha male’s face was shocked, yet the captain held his son firmly in his muzzle, trying to keep him as warm as possible without losing him too.
The alpha nodded agreeably, as if there was no other option to allow the male to die along with his siblings and his mother. The captain was more than grateful, taking the screeching pup into the sanctity of the den giving a brief explanation to the alpha female and she too agreed to nurse the pups with her own. She had a small litter, only three and now to make it even four with the captain’s son tucked safely to nurse.
It wasn’t long before the pups began to grow. At around six weeks the captain was allowed to take his pup to wean him off of milk the hard way, cold turkey to be exact. The captain was treated as if he himself was alpha male, gorging himself on food just to have to learn how to purge enough so that his pup might eat. It was certainly emasculating yet if it meant his son’s survival he was willing to go through hell and back. Yet he never outwardly praised his son for proper socializing or even fighting. He was a rather distant father, perhaps mourning his mate in the quiet of his own den. It was only a short period of time before the young and small runt began exploring his surroundings; his nose was a key tracker in many of his explorations. And thus the captain dubbed him Radar, for his innate ability to track and seek out just about anything, which included danger and trouble.
Radar was given the privilege of socializing with the alpha’s pups. The betas decided against having pups being afraid that they wouldn’t make it. There seemed to be a crippling disease that struck the pups, hitting the captain’s still born pups the hardest, making it impossible for them to even begin life, though he had not found that out until months after his mate’s passing. The captain tried his hardest to raise his son in the first few months of his life. Gathering as much meat as he could, yet still he found it difficult to keep up with the young pup. For socializing was a traumatic event for the young Radar, the two male pups; heirs to the throne when their elderly father passed constantly picked on the mutt. Towering over him and dominating him viciously.
They were twins both black and exceptionally rough. There wasn’t a single thing the captain could do to keep his son from socializing, he had to watch in agony as his son would cry or be pinned to the ground with tears and dirt digging into his pelt. It would make him tough like his father, a real war hero when he grew up. Their names were Flash, Star and Gale. Flash and Star were the big twin brutes going to be the heirs for when the alpha passed. Gale was going to be an heiress incase neither male fulfilled their duties as alpha males. Flash and Star’s favorite past time was brutally assaulting Radar whenever they had the chance.
“Hey Ray dork.” Flash snickered urging his brother on in a very obnoxious fashion whenever Radar would pass by looking for his father. The captain seemed to be scarce recently. It was when he turned six months and began to grow into a scrawny adult.
“Yea snot ray heads up!” Star chimed with his brother giggling and snickering as the two charged Radar full throttle giving him no warning as they pinned his small frame to the ground snorting and making obnoxious comments right in his ear as their saliva dripped on his nose. The two were relentless, the only luck Radar ever had was when Gale would come and ruin the boy’s rough housing.
“Knock it off Flash, Star don’t you see he’s not fighting back it’s not even fair why not go pick on someone your own size like a moose.” Gale stood up to her brothers as if it were nothing. Her eyes were narrowed as she pouted like only a girl could. Flash and Star had no choice but to cooperate, they knew Gale was their father’s favorite and had no argument whenever she intervened. “Hey are you okay?” He nudged Radar to his feet brushing off his pelt with her dainty white paws.
“Y-yea thanks.” He squeaked giving a timid smile as he shook the rest of the dirt and spit from his fur. “I thought I was a goner for sure.” He flicked his ears back and tucked his tail between his legs.
“Nah its okay Radar. You’re safe with me.” Her statement turned out to be true to the very last word. The two soon became inseparable, the best of friends. They played all sorts of games every day, under the watchful eye of the alpha male. Of course the two brothers didn’t take too kindly to this litter wrecker moving in on their sister, they often would take him when Gale wasn’t looking and attack him relentlessly. Of course it was at this time, at the age of 11 months that the captain had returned. He had been at war, and he was happy to throw some teenagers from his beautiful son.
When Radar was around one year old the captain decided it was time to teach him the logic behind wars and fighting. He took him under his wing and taught him just about everything there was about war, starting with the basics. “Now son, there’s more to war than just fighting and becoming victorious. I learned that the hard way.”
“What do you mean pops?” Radar looked up at his father, eager to learn something new as well as have anything in his arsenal that would get those evil twins off his back.
“First and foremost, there is no good or evil. There are only misunderstandings and miscomprehensions of different ideas. For you see, there is no right or wrong side. I was arrogant once, a long time ago. I thought I was fighting for good, and then when I was captured and held prisoner…I was able to witness their traditions and customs with my own eyes. You see there was still innocent blood that would have fallen on my paws if I had not seen the error of my ways.” He paused staring down at his son for a moment before continuing. “Wolves and men alike find a goal to fight for many times, yet depending on their points of view it is either perceived as good or evil. And thus taken as wrong, but there is nothing wrong with fighting for what you believe in. Remember that.”
Radar nodded, taking in the knowledge as if he were a sponge. After war had been put into a perspective that only someone with far beyond their years would understand for him he began his training. It took over a year, but he was finally an officer of his own commanding army, defending the land against those who wanted to conquer it for their own purposes.
It was only when he returned from his year of fighting and gritting action did he feel alienated from the rest of his group. He went to visit Gale, to make sure she was alright. He was awestruck by what he saw. She was beautiful, absolutely gorgeous and he was covered in blood and dirt. He felt ashamed to even be in her presence, but once she saw his gleaming white eyes her tail swung happily as she called to him. “Radar! You’re back I thought you were gone forever!” She sprung into his chest nuzzling against him. It was almost like love at first sight again. He’d never felt this way before, but his heart was fluttering and his heart was skipping beats.
Without further warning that same night Radar cleaned himself up trying to look his very best. Yet his fur was thick and rough, he felt rather exposed and vulnerable. Yet he snuck into Gale’s den in the dead of night. “Gale…” His voice was soft as he nudged her gently.
“Huh? Radar what are you doing here?” She yawned, stirring ever so softly in her sleep. “If my brothers catch you it’ll be the end of you.”
“Ah they don’t scare me anymore Gale. Besides your father is still alive, he won’t hurt me so long as I’m with you.” He smiled and licked her cheek, feeling ever so vulnerable as if he was walking on ice. She seemed to embrace the warmth of his tongue as she inquired what he was doing here. “Well uh, do you want to go take a walk?”
She agreed without much hesitation and under the starry night they escaped out of the pack lands. It wasn’t long before they were like pups again, frolicking and playing in the meadow splashing in the water and tugging at each other’s ears. Yet Gale grew tired and lied down after just a few spouts of what seemed to be otherwise boundless energy. “You’re endurance has increased Radar, I can’t even keep up with you anymore.” She teased with a gentle breathless laugh.
He returned a tender laugh, shaking the water from his pelt as he nuzzled up next to her. “Well uh Gale you see the reason I brought you out here well…was because I wanted to tell you something that I haven’t felt in the longest time. You…you complete me Gale. I love you, and I want to be with you forever.” He burst out; his breath was caught as he waited for her response.
Yet it was not the one he was hoping for. She stared at him and gasped, shaking her head. “No Radar…Don’t you understand? My father took pity on you…I…I already have a mate. He’s a hunter, we’re happy together. You were at war for a year, I thought you died. Those times when we were pups that was just child’s play.” She hesitantly lied, her eyes swelling with tears as she backed away from him her ears folding against her head. She did love him, as he loved her. She always had a crush on him, yet now this was all so sudden. The truth behind the matter was that her brother’s warned her that they’d kill the rat bastard if he ever tried something like that, and she knew they meant business. And so just to sink a final blow in so that he’d stop chasing her she spat something that wasn’t her at him. “My brother’s were right, you are just a waste of life…you…you should have died with your siblings and weak mothers Radar. You’re pathetic.” She grunted backing away from him.
He got up to chase her, just to have her final words sink into his skull. He froze. She…she never loved him? Hurt flushed through his veins. It was hotter than a thousand piercing arrows as his jaw dropped staring right at her. Anger boiled in his veins as he felt something he never knew he posses run into his corneas. His eyes flashed a pupil less pale yellow. Sparks shooting from them as he snarled in displaced anger and hurt. His powers withheld him, feeding off his lack of control lightning struck the ground in a vicious crack, charring his own fur and burning him in the process as well as cracking into Gale sending thousands of volts into her central nervous system. Finally within a few moments he could withhold control over himself again do to the exhaustion of his first elemental powers he saw the wasteland he was laying on. “G-gale?” He whimpered. Feeling as though he had just been hit by a truck, like everything that unfolded was a nightmare. “Gale!” He yelped seeing her burned corpse lying in a blackened pit. He limped to her, feeling his flesh scream in pain he fell to his rump, ears folded back as he nudged her softly. Her skin was burned and she hadn’t a single breath coming from her. “Gale I’m so…sorry I’m so stupid. I’m sorry…” His tears welled in his eyes pooling down his cheeks.
It wasn’t long after the strike of lightning that the captain had gone looking for his son. When he saw the blast of power rush through the territory he feared that he was right in his thoughts all along. For the captain wasn’t of this land, he withheld special powers. Yet he feared that his only son had gotten the curse of them too. He rushed to the flash of lightning before any other wolf could figure out what was going on, what had caused such a disturbance. Truth be told only the alpha and the captain knew of his past. And now he feared that his son was going to wish he had never been born. He came upon the scene, cringing at the sight of the blackened land, his son heaped over Gale’s body. “What happened?” He tilted his head, unsure of what to say.
“I…I don’t know. I…I think I killed her pops…I…I’m evil. You were wrong. I’m evil…” He wept into Gale’s fur. Taking long exasperated breaths between words.
“Listen to me Radar. You are not evil. There is no good nor evil understand that. You were gifted with a special unknown power. You have the gift of lightning. However as beautiful as lightning can be, it is very powerful. And thus is a very big responsibility.” The captain sighed and hoisted his son from his feeble position getting him on his four paws dragging him away from the body. “I see now that not telling you this sooner was disastrous. Your powers are connected to your emotions. If you cannot control them you cannot control your power. The alpha will not accept you here anymore my son. You must find your own destiny. I know it’s somewhere out there, just not here. Now no more tears, I’ve taught you all I could. Now the last thing you need to learn is how to say good bye.” And with that His father flashed his claws on his rump, slashing them it was like searing flesh and before Radar could restrain he yelped and darted away. Too afraid to look back he decided he never would. Traveling out of the pack lands and onto greater terrain.
